1. 새벽에 모든 대제사장과 백성의 장로들이 예수를 죽이려고 함께 의논하고

1. Early in the morning, all the chief priests and the elders of the people came to the decision to put Jesus to death.

1。さて夜が明けると、祭司長たちと民の長老たちは全員で、イエスを死刑にするために協議した。

 

2. 결박하여 끌고 가서 총독 빌라도에게 넘겨 주니라

2. They bound him, led him away and handed him over to Pilate, the governor.

2。そしてイエスを縛って連れ出し、総督ピラトに引き渡した。

 

3. 그 때에 예수를 판 유다가 그의 정죄됨을 보고 스스로 뉘우쳐 그 은 삼십을 대제사장들과 장로들에게 도로 갖다 주며

3. When Judas, who had betrayed him, saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and the elders.

3。そのころ、イエスを売ったユダはイエスが死刑に定められたのを知って後悔し、銀貨三十枚を祭司長たちと長老たちに返して、言った。

 

4. 이르되 내가 부죄한 피를 팔고 죄를 범하였도다 하니 그들이 이르되 그것이 우리에게 무슨 상관이냐 네가 당하라 하거늘

4. "I have sinned," he said, "for I have betrayed innocent blood." "What is that to us?" they replied. "That's your responsibility."

4。「私は無実の人の血を売って罪を犯しました。」しかし、彼らは言った。「われわれの知ったことか。自分で始末することだ。」

 

5. 유다가 은을 성소에 던져 넣고 물러가서 스스로 목매어 죽은지라

5. So Judas threw the money into the temple and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.

5。それで、彼は銀貨を神殿に投げ込んで立ち去った。そして出て行って首をつった。

 

6. 대제사장들이 그 은을 거두며 이르되 이것은 핏값이라 성전고에 넣어 둠이 옳지 않다 하고

6. The chief priests picked up the coins and said, "It is against the law to put this into the treasury, since it is blood money."

6。祭司長たちは銀貨を取って、言った。「これは血の代価だから、神殿の金庫に入れることは許されない。」

 

7. 의논한 후 이것으로 토기장이의 밭을 사서 나그네의 묘지를 삼았으니

7. So they decided to use the money to buy the potter's field as a burial place for foreigners.

7。そこで彼らは相談し、その金で陶器師の畑を買って、異邦人のための墓地にした。

 

8. 그러므로 오늘날까지 그 밭을 피밭이라 일컫느니라

8. That is why it has been called the Field of Blood to this day.

8。そのため、その畑は今日まで血の畑と呼ばれている。

9. Then what was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet was fulfilled: "They took the thirty silver coins, the price set on him by the people of Israel,

9。そのとき、預言者エレミヤを通して語られたことが成就した。「彼らは銀貨三十枚を取った。イスラエルの子らに値積もりされた人の価である。

 

10. 토기장이의 밭 값으로 주었으니 이는 주께서 내게 명하신 바와 같으니라 하였더라

10. and they used them to buy the potter's field, as the Lord commanded me."

10。主が私に命じられたように、彼らはその金を払って陶器師の畑を買い取った。」

 

11. 예수께서 총독 앞에 섰으매 총독이 물어 이르되 네가 유대인의 왕이냐 예수께서 대답하시되 네 말이 옳도다 하시고

11. Meanwhile Jesus stood before the governor, and the governor asked him, "Are you the king of the Jews?" "Yes, it is as you say," Jesus replied.

11。さて、イエスは総督の前に立たれた。総督はイエスに尋ねた。「あなたはユダヤ人の王なのか。」イエスは言われた。「あなたがそう言っています。」

 

12. 대제사장들과 장로들에게 고발을 당하되 아무 대답도 아니하시는지라

12. When he was accused by the chief priests and the elders, he gave no answer.

12。しかし、祭司長たちや長老たちが訴えている間は、何もお答えにならなかった。

 

13. 이에 빌라도가 이르되 그들이 너를 쳐서 얼마나 많은 것으로 증언하는지 듣지 못하느냐 하되

13. Then Pilate asked him, "Don't you hear the testimony they are bringing against you?"

13。そのとき、ピラトはイエスに言った。「あんなにも、あなたに不利な証言をしているのが聞こえないのか。」

 

14. 한 마디도 대답하지 아니하시니 총독이 크게 놀라워하더라

14. But Jesus made no reply, not even to a single charge--to the great amazement of the governor.

14。それでもイエスは、どのような訴えに対しても一言もお答えにならなかった。それには総督も非常に驚いた。

 

15. 명절이 되면 총독이 무리의 청원대로 죄수 한 사람을 놓아 주는 전례가 있더니

15. Now it was the governor's custom at the Feast to release a prisoner chosen by the crowd.

15。ところで、総督は祭りのたびに、群衆のため彼らが望む囚人を一人釈放することにしていた。

 

16. 그 때에 바라바라 하는 유명한 죄수가 있는데

16. At that time they had a notorious prisoner, called Barabbas.

16。そのころ、バラバ・イエスという、名の知れた囚人が捕らえられていた。

 

17. 그들이 모였을 때에 빌라도가 물어 이르되 너희는 내가 누구를 너희에게 놓아 주기를 원하느냐 바라바냐 그리스도라 하는 예수냐 하니

17. So when the crowd had gathered, Pilate asked them, "Which one do you want me to release to you: Barabbas, or Jesus who is called Christ?"

17。それで、人々が集まったとき、ピラトは言った。「おまえたちはだれを釈放してほしいのか。バラバ・イエスか、それともキリストと呼ばれているイエスか。」

 

18. 이는 그가 그들의 시기로 예수를 넘겨 준 줄 앎이더라

18. For he knew it was out of envy that they had handed Jesus over to him.

18。ピラトは、彼らがねたみからイエスを引き渡したことを知っていたのである。

 

19. 총독이 재판석에 앉았을 때에 그의 아내가 사람을 보내어 이르되 저 옳은 사람에게 아무 상관도 하지 마옵소서 오늘 꿈에 내가 그 사람으로 인하여 애를 많이 태웠나이다 하더라

19. While Pilate was sitting on the judge's seat, his wife sent him this message: "Don't have anything to do with that innocent man, for I have suffered a great deal today in a dream because of him."

19。ピラトが裁判の席に着いているときに、彼の妻が彼のもとに人を遣わして言った。「あの正しい人と関わらないでください。あの人のことで、私は今日、夢でたいへん苦しい目にあいましたから。」

 

20. 대제사장들과 장로들이 무리를 권하여 바라바를 달라 하게 하고 예수를 죽이자 하게 하였더니

20. But the chief priests and the elders persuaded the crowd to ask for Barabbas and to have Jesus executed.

20。しかし祭司長たちと長老たちは、バラバの釈放を要求してイエスは殺すよう、群衆を説得した。

 

21. 총독이 대답하여 이르되 둘 중의 누구를 너희에게 놓아 주기를 원하느냐 이르되 바라바로소이다

21. "Which of the two do you want me to release to you?" asked the governor. "Barabbas," they answered.

21。総督は彼らに言った。「おまえたちは二人のうちどちらを釈放してほしいのか。」彼らは言った。「バラバだ。」

 

22. 빌라도가 이르되 그러면 그리스도라 하는 예수를 내가 어떻게 하랴 그드링 다 이르되 십자가에 못 박혀야 하겠나이다

22. "What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called Christ?" Pilate asked. They all answered, "Crucify him!"

22。ピラトは彼らに言った。「では、キリストと呼ばれているイエスを私はどのようにしようか。」彼らはみな言った。「十字架につけろ。」

 

23. 빌라도가 이르되 어찜이냐 무슨 악한 일을 하였느냐 그들이 더욱 소리 질러 이르되 십자가에 못 박혀야 하겠나이다 하는지라

23. "Why? What crime has he committed?" asked Pilate. But they shouted all the louder, "Crucify him!"

23。ピラトは言った。「あの人がどんな悪いことをしたのか。」しかし、彼らはますます激しく叫び続けた。「十字架につけろ。」

 

24. 빌라도가 아무 성과도 없이 도리어 민라닝 나려는 것을 보고 물을 가져다가 무리 앞에서 손을 씻으며 이르되 이 사람의 피에 대하여 나는 무죄하니 너희가 당하라

24. When Pilate saw that he was getting nowhere, but that instead an uproar was starting, he took water and washed his hands in front of the crowd. "I am innocent of this man's blood," he said. "It is your responsibility!"

24。ピラトは、語ることが何の役にも立たず、かえって暴動になりそうなのを見て、水を取り、群衆の目の前で手を洗って言った。「この人の血について私には責任がない。おまえたちで始末するがよい。」

 

25. 백성이 다 대답하여 이르되 그 피를 우리와 우리 자손에게 돌릴지어다 하거늘

25. All the people answered, "Let his blood be on us and on our children!"

25。すると、民はみな答えた。「その人の血は私たちや私たちの子どもらの上に。」

 

26. 이에 바라바는 그들에게 놓아 주고 예수는 채찍질하고 십자가에 못 박히게 넘겨 주니라

26. Then he released Barabbas to them. But he had Jesus flogged, and handed him over to be crucified.

26。そこでピラトは彼らのためにバラバを釈放し、イエスをむちで打ってから、十字架につけるために引き渡した。

 

27. 이에 총독의 군병들이 예수를 데리고 관정 안으로 들어가서 온 군대를 그에게로 모으고

27. Then the governor's soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium and gathered the whole company of soldiers around him.

27。それから、総督の兵士たちはイエスを総督官邸の中に連れて行き、イエスの周りに全部隊を集めた。

 

28. 그의 옷을 벗기고 홍포를 입히며

28. They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him,

28。そしてイエスが着ていた物を脱がせて、緋色のマントを着せた。

 

29. 가시관을 엮어 그 머리에 씌우고 갈대를 그 오른손에 들리고 그 앞에서 무릎을 꿇고 희롱하여 이르되 유대인의 왕이여 평안할지어다 하며

29. and then twisted together a crown of thorns and set it on his head. They put a staff in his right hand and knelt in front of him and mocked him. "Hail, king of the Jews!" they said.

29。それから彼らは茨で冠を編んでイエスの頭に置き、右手に葦の棒を持たせた。そしてイエスの前にひざまずき、「ユダヤ人の王様、万歳」と言って、からかった。

 

30. 그에게 침 뱉고 갈대를 빼앗아 그의 머리를 치더라

30. They spit on him, and took the staff and struck him on the head again and again.

30。またイエスに唾をかけ、葦の棒を取り上げて頭をたたいた。

 

31. 희롱을 다 한 후 홍포를 벗기고 도로 그의 옷을 입혀 십자가에 못 박으려고 끌고 나가니라

31. After they had mocked him, they took off the robe and put his own clothes on him. Then they led him away to crucify him.

31。こうしてイエスをからかってから、マントを脱がせて元の衣を着せ、十字架につけるために連れ出した。

 

32. 나가다가 시몬이란 구레네 사람을 만나매 그에게 예수의 십자가를 억지로 지워 가게 하였더라

32. As they were going out, they met a man from Cyrene, named Simon, and they forced him to carry the cross.

32。兵士たちが出て行くと、シモンという名のクレネ人に出会った。彼らはこの人に、イエスの十字架を無理やり背負わせた。

 

33. 골고다 즉 해골의 곳이라는 곳에 이르러

33. They came to a place called Golgotha (which means The Place of the Skull).

33。ゴルゴタと呼ばれている場所、すなわち「どくろの場所」に来ると、

 

34. 쓸개 탄 포도주를 예수께 주어 마시게 하려 하였더니 예수께서 맛보시고 마시고자 하지 아니하시더라

34. There they offered Jesus wine to drink, mixed with gall; but after tasting it, he refused to drink it.

34。彼らはイエスに、苦みを混ぜたぶどう酒を飲ませようとした。イエスはそれをなめただけで、飲もうとはされなかった。

 

35. 그들이 예수를 십자가에 못 박은 후에 그 옷을 제비 뽑아 나누고

35. When they had crucified him, they divided up his clothes by casting lots.

35。彼らはイエスを十字架につけてから、くじを引いてその衣を分けた。

 

36. 거기 앉아 지키더라

36. And sitting down, they kept watch over him there.

36。それから腰を下ろし、そこでイエスを見張っていた。

 

37. 그 머리 위에 이는 유대인의 왕 예수라 쓴 죄패를 붙였더라

37. Above his head they placed the written charge against him: THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

37。彼らは、「これはユダヤ人の王イエスである」と書かれた罪状書きをイエスの頭の上に掲げた。

 

38. 이 때에 예수와 함께 강도 둘이 십자가에 못 박히니 하나는 우편에, 하나는 좌편에 있더라

38. Two robbers were crucified with him, one on his right and one on his left.

38。そのとき、イエスと一緒に二人の強盗が、一人は右に、一人は左に、十字架につけられていた。

 

39. 지나가는 자들은 자기 머리를 흔들며 예수를 모욕하여

39. Those who passed by hurled insults at him, shaking their heads

39。通りすがりの人たちは、頭を振りながらイエスをののしった。

 

40. 이르되 성전을 헐고 사흘에 짓는 자여 네가 만일 하나님의 아들이어든 자기를 구원하고 십자가에서 내려오라 하며

40. and saying, "You who are going to destroy the temple and build it in three days, save yourself! Come down from the cross, if you are the Son of God!"

40。「神殿を壊して三日で建てる人よ、もしおまえが神の子なら自分を救ってみろ。そして十字架から降りて来い。」

 

41. 그와 같이 대제사장들도 서기관들과 장로들과 함께 희롱하여 이르되

41. In the same way the chief priests, the teachers of the law and the elders mocked him.

41。同じように祭司長たちも、律法学者たち、長老たちと一緒にイエスを嘲って言った。

 

42. 그가 남은 구원하였으되 자기는 구원할 수 없도다 그가 이스라엘의 왕이로다 지금 십자가에서 내려올지어다 그리하면우리가 믿겠노라

42. "He saved others," they said, "but he can't save himself! He's the King of Israel! Let him come down now from the cross, and we will believe in him.

42。「他人は救ったが、自分は救えない。彼はイスラエルの王だ。今、十字架から降りてもらおう。そうすれば信じよう。

 

43. 그가 하나님을 신뢰하니 하나님이 원하시면 이제 그를 구원하실지라 그의 말이 나는 하나님의 아들이라 하였도다 하며

43. He trusts in God. Let God rescue him now if he wants him, for he said, 'I am the Son of God.'"

43。彼は神に拠り頼んでいる。神のお気に入りなら、今、救い出してもらえ。『わたしは神の子だ』と言っているのだから。」

 

44. 함께 십자가에 못 박힌 강도들도 이와 같이 욕하더라

44. In the same way the robbers who were crucified with him also heaped insults on him.

44。イエスと一緒に十字架につけられた強盗たちも、同じようにイエスをののしった。

 

45. 제육시로부터 온 땅에 어둠이 임하여 제구시까지 계속되더니

45. From the sixth hour until the ninth hour darkness came over all the land.

45。さて、十二時から午後三時まで闇が全地をおおった。

 

46. 제구시쯤에 예수께서 크게 소리 질러 이르시되 엘리 엘리 라마사박다니 하시니 이는 곧 나의 하나님, 나의 하나님, 어찌하여 나를 버리셨나이까 하는 뜻이라

46. About the ninth hour Jesus cried out in a loud voice, "Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani?”—which means, "My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?"

46。三時ごろ、イエスは大声で叫ばれた。「エリ、エリ、レマ、サバクタニ。」これは、「わが神、わが神、どうしてわたしをお見捨てになったのですか」という意味である。

 

47. 거기 섰던 자 중 어떤 이들이 듣고 이르되 이 사람이 엘리야를 부른다 하고

47. When some of those standing there heard this, they said, "He's calling Elijah."

47。そこに立っていた人たちの何人かが、これを聞いて言った。「この人はエリヤを呼んでいる。」

 

48. 그 중의 한 사람이 곧 달려가서 해면을 가져다가 신 포도주에 적시어 갈대에 꿰어 마시게 하거늘

48. Immediately one of them ran and got a sponge. He filled it with wine vinegar, put it on a stick, and offered it to Jesus to drink.

48。このうちの一人がすぐに駆け寄り、海綿を取ってそれに酸いぶどう酒を含ませ、葦の棒に付けてイエスに飲ませようとした。

 

49. 그 남은 사람들이 이르되 가만 두라 엘리야가 와서 그를 구원하나 보자 하더라

49. The rest said, "Now leave him alone. Let's see if Elijah comes to save him."

49。ほかの者たちは「待て。エリヤが救いに来るか見てみよう」と言った。

 

50. 예수꼐서 다시 크게 소리 지르시고 영혼이 떠나시니라

50. And when Jesus had cried out again in a loud voice, he gave up his spirit.

50。しかし、イエスは再び大声で叫んで霊を渡された。

 

51. 이에 성소 휘장이 위로부터 아래까지 찢어져 두링 되고 땅이 진동하며 바위가 터지고 

51. At that moment the curtain of the temple was torn in two from top to bottom. The earth shook and the rocks split.

51。すると見よ、神殿の幕が上から下まで真っ二つに裂けた。地が揺れ動き、岩が裂け、

 

52. 무덤들이 열리며 자던 성도의 몸이 많이 일어나되

52. The tombs broke open and the bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life.

52。墓が開いて、眠りについていた多くの聖なる人々のからだが生き返った。

 

53. 예수의 부활 후에 그들이 무덤에서 나와서 거룩한 성에 들어가 많은 사람에게 보이니라

53. They came out of the tombs, and after Jesus' resurrection they went into the holy city and appeared to many people.

53。彼らはイエスの復活の後で、墓から出て来て聖なる都に入り、多くの人に現れた。

 

54. 백부장과 및 함께 예수를 지키던 자들이 지진과 그 일어난 일들을 보고 심히 두려워하여 이르되 이는 진실로 하나님의 아들이었도다 하더라

54. When the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus saw the earthquake and all that had happened, they were terrified, and exclaimed, "Surely he was the Son of God!"

54。百人隊長や一緒にイエスを見張っていた者たちは、地震やいろいろな出来事を見て、非常に恐れて言った。「この方は本当に神の子であった。」

 

55. 예수를 섬기며 갈리리에서부터 따라온 많은 여자가 거기 있어 멀리서 바라보고 있으니

55. Many women were there, watching from a distance. They had followed Jesus from Galilee to care for his needs.

55。また、そこには大勢の女たちがいて、遠くから見ていた。ガリラヤからイエスについて来て仕えていた人たちである。

 

56. 그 중에는 막달라 마리아와 또 야고보와 요셉의 어머니 마리아와 또 세베대의 아들들의 어머니도 있더라

56. Among them were Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joses, and the mother of Zebedee's sons.

56。その中にはマグダラのマリア、ヤコブとヨセフの母マリア、ゼベダイの子たちの母がいた。

 

57. 저물었을 때에 아리마대의 부자 요셉이라 하는 사람이 왔으니 그도 예수의 제자라

57. As evening approached, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who had himself become a disciple of Jesus.

57。夕方になり、アリマタヤ出身で金持ちの、ヨセフという名の人が来た。彼自身もイエスの弟子になっていた。

 

58. 빌라도에게 가서 예수의 시체를 달라 하니 이에 빌라도가 내주라 명령하거늘

58. Going to Pilate, he asked for Jesus' body, and Pilate ordered that it be given to him.

58。この人がピラトのところに行って、イエスのからだの下げ渡しを願い出た。そこでピラトは渡すように命じた。

 

59. 요셉이 시체를 가져다가 깨끗한 세마포로 싸서

59. Joseph took the body, wrapped it in a clean linen cloth,

59。ヨセフはからだを受け取ると、きれいな亜麻布に包み、

 

60. 바위 속에 판 자기 새 무덤에 넣어 두고 큰 돌을 굴려 무덤 문에 놓고 가니

60. and placed it in his own new tomb that he had cut out of the rock. He rolled a big stone in front of the entrance to the tomb and went away.

60。岩を掘って造った自分の新しい墓に納めた。そして墓の入り口に大きな石を転がしておいて、立ち去った。

 

61. 거기 막달라 마리아와 다른 마리아가 무덤을 향하여 앉았더라

61. Mary Magdalene and the other Mary were sitting there opposite the tomb.

61。マグダラのマリアともう一人のマリアはそこにいて、墓の方を向いて座っていた。

 

62. 그 이튿날은 준비일 다음 날이라 대제사장들과 바리새인들이 함께 빌라도에게 모여 이르되 

62. The next day, the one after Preparation Day, the chief priests and the Pharisees went to Pilate.

62。明くる日、すなわち、備え日の翌日、祭司長たちとパリサイ人たちはピラトのところに集まって、

 

63. 주여 저 속이던 자가 살아 있을 때에 말하되 내가 사흘 후에 다시 살아나리라 한 것을 우리가 기억하노니

63. "Sir," they said, "we remember that while he was still alive that deceiver said, 'After three days I will rise again.'

63。こう言った。「閣下。人を惑わすあの男がまだ生きていたとき、『わたしは三日後によみがえる』と言っていたのを、私たちは思い出しました。

 

64. 그러므로 명령하여 그 무덤을 사흘까지 굳게 지키게 하소서 그의 제자들이 와서 시체를 도둑질하고 가서 백성에게 말하되 그가 죽은 자 가운데서 살아났다 하면 주의 속임이 전보다 더 클까 하나이다 하니

64. So give the order for the tomb to be made secure until the third day. Otherwise, his disciples may come and steal the body and tell the people that he has been raised from the dead. This last deception will be worse than the first."

64。ですから、三日目まで墓の番をするように命じてください。そうでないと弟子たちが来て、彼を盗み出し、『死人の中からよみがえった』と民に言うかもしれません。そうなると、この惑わしのほうが、前の惑わしよりもひどいものになります。」

 

65. 빌라도가 이르되 너희에게 경비병이 있으니 가서 힘대로 굳게 지키라 하거늘

65. "Take a guard," Pilate answered. "Go, make the tomb as secure as you know how."

65。ピラトは彼らに言った。「番兵を出してやろう。行って、できるだけしっかりと番をするがよい。」

 

66. 그들이 경비병과 함께 가서 돌을 인봉하고 무덤을 굳게 지키니라

66. So they went and made the tomb secure by putting a seal on the stone and posting the guard.

66。そこで彼らは行って番兵たちとともに石に封印をし、墓の番をした。
