1. 당시에 시날 왕 아므라벨과 엘라살 왕 아리옥과 엘람 왕 그돌라오멜과 고임 왕 디달이

1. At this time Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Kedorlaomer king of Elam and Tidal king of Goiim

1。さて、シンアルの王アムラフェル、エラサルの王アルヨク、エラムの王ケドルラオメル、ゴイムの王ティデアルの時代のことである。

 

2. 소돔 왕 베라와 고모라 왕 비르사와 아드마 왕 시납과 스보임 왕 세메벨과 벨라 곧 소알 왕과 싸우니라

2. went to war against Bera king of Sodom, Birsha king of Gomorrah, Shinab king of Admah, Shemeber king of Zeboiim, and the king of Bela (that is, Zoar).

2。これらの王たちは、ソドムの王ベラ、ゴモラの王ビルシャ、アデマの王シンアブ、ツェボイムの王シェムエベル、ベラすなわちツォアルの王と戦った。

 

3. 이들이 다 싯딤 골짜기 곧 지금의 염해에 모였더라

3. All these latter kings joined forces in the Valley of Siddim (the Salt Sea).

3。この五人の王たちは、シディムの谷、すなわち塩の海に結集した。

 

4. 이들이 십이 년 동안 그돌라오멜을 섬기다가 제십삼년에 배반한지라

4. For twelve years they had been subject to Kedorlaomer, but in the thirteenth year they rebelled.

4。彼らは十二年間ケドルラオメルに仕えていたが、十三年目に背いたのである。

 

5. 제십사년에 그돌라오멜과 그와 함께 한 왕들이 나와서 아스드롯 가르나임에서 르바 족속을, 함에서 수스 족속을, 사웨 기랴다임에서 엠 족속을 치고

5. In the fourteenth year, Kedorlaomer and the kings allied with him went out and defeated the Rephaites in Ashteroth Karnaim, the Zuzites in Ham, the Emites in Shaveh Kiriathaim

5。そして十四年目に、ケドルラオメルと彼に味方する王たちがやって来て、アシュタロテ・カルナイムでレファイム人を、ハムでズジム人を、シャベ・キルヤタイムでエミム人を、

 

6. 호리 족속을 그 산 세일에서 쳐서 광야 근방 엘바란까지 이르렀으며

6. and the Horites in the hill country of Seir, as far as El Paran near the desert.

6。セイルの山地でフリ人を打ち破り、荒野の近くのエル・パランまで進んだ。

 

7. 그들이 돌이켜 엔미스밧 곧 가데스에 이르러 아말렉 족속의 온 땅과 하사손다말에 사는 아모리 족속을 친지라

7. Then they turned back and went to En Mishpat (that is, Kadesh), and they conquered the whole territory of the Amalekites, as well as the Amorites who were living in Hazazon Tamar.

7。それから彼らは引き返して、エン・ミシュパテ、すなわちカデシュに至り、アマレク人の全土と、さらにハツェツォン・タマルに住んでいるアモリ人を打ち破った。

 

8. 소돔 왕과 고모라 왕과 아드마 왕과 스보임 왕과 벨라 곧 소알 왕이 나와서 싯딤 골짜기에서 그들과 전쟁을 하기 위하여 진을 쳤더니

8. Then the king of Sodom, the king of Gomorrah, the king of Admah, the king of Zeboiim and the king of Bela (that is, Zoar) marched out and drew up their battle lines in the Valley of Siddim

8。そこで、ソドムの王、ゴモラの王、アデマの王、シェボイムの王、ベラすなわちツォアルの王は出て来て、シディムの谷で戦う備えをし、

 

9. 엘람 왕 그돌라오멜과 고임 왕 디달과 시날 왕 아므라벨과 엘라살 왕 아리옥 네 왕이 곧 그 다섯 왕과 맞서니라

9. against Kedorlaomer king of Elam, Tidal king of Goiim, Amraphel king of Shinar and Arioch king of Ellasar--four kings against five.

9。エラムの王ケドルラオメル、ゴイムの王ティデアル、シヌアルの王アムラフェル、エラサルの王アルヨクと対峙した。この四人の王と、先の五人の王とであった。

 

10. 싯딤 골짜기에는 역청 구덩이가 많은지라 소돔 왕과 고모라 왕이 달아날 때에 그들이 거기 빠지고 그 나머지는 산으로 도망하매

10. Now the Valley of Siddim was full of tar pits, and when the kings of Sodom and Gomorrah fled, some of the men fell into them and the rest fled to the hills.

10。シディムの谷には瀝青の穴が多くあり、ソドムの王とゴモラの王は逃げたとき、その穴に落ちた。そして、残りの王たちは山の方に逃げた。

 

11. 네 왕이 소돔과 고모라의 모든 재물과 양식을 빼앗아 가고

11. The four kings seized all the goods of Sodom and Gomorrah and all their food; then they went away.

11。四人の王たちは、ソドムとゴモラのすべての財産とすべての食糧を奪って行った。

 

12. 소돔에 거주하는 아브람의 조카 롯도 사로잡고 그 재물까지 노략하여 갔더라

12. They also carried off Abram's nephew Lot and his possessions, since he was living in Sodom.

12。また彼らは、アブラムの甥のロトとその財産も奪って行った。ロトはソドムに住んでいた。

 

13. 도망한 자가 와서 히브리 사람 아브람에게 알리니 그 때에 아브람이 아모리 족속 마므레의 상수리 수풀 근처에 거주하였더라 마므레는 에스골의 형제요 또 아넬의 형제라 이들은 아브람과 동맹한 사람들이더라

13. One who had escaped came and reported this to Abram the Hebrew. Now Abram was living near the great trees of Mamre the Amorite, a brother of Eshcol and Aner, all of whom were allied with Abram.

13。一人の逃亡者が、ヘブル人アブラムのところに来て、そのことを告げた。アブラムは、アモリ人マムレの樫の木のところに住んでいた。マムレはエシュコルとアネルの兄弟で、彼らはアブラムと盟約を結んでいた。

 

14. 아브람이 그의 조카가 사로잡혔음을 듣고 집에서 길리고 훈련된 자 삼백십팔 명을 거느리고 단까지 쫓아가서

14. When Abram heard that his relative had been taken captive, he called out the 318 trained men born in his household and went in pursuit as far as Dan.

14。アブラムは、自分の親類の者が捕虜になったことを聞き、彼の家で生まれて訓練された者三百十八人を引き連れて、ダンまで追跡した。

 

15. 그와 그의 가신들이 나뉘어 밤에 그들을 쳐부수고 다메섹 왼편 호바까지 쫓아가

15. During the night Abram divided his men to attack them and he routed them, pursuing them as far as Hobah, north of Damascus.

15。夜、アブラムとそのしもべたちは分かれて彼らを攻め、彼らを打ち破り、ダマスコの北にあるホバまで追跡した。

 

16. 모든 빼앗겼던 재물과 자기의 조카 롯과 그의 재물과 또 부녀와 친척을 다 찾아왔더라

16. He recovered all the goods and brought back his relative Lot and his possessions, together with the women and the other people.

16。そして、アブラムはすべての財産を取り戻し、親類のロトとその財産、それに女たちやほかの人々も取り戻した。

 

17. 아브람이 그돌라오멜과 그와 함께 한 왕들을 쳐부수고 돌아올 때에 소돔 왕이 사웨 골짜기 곧 왕의 골짜기로 나와 그를 영접하였고

17. After Abram returned from defeating Kedorlaomer and the kings allied with him, the king of Sodom came out to meet him in the Valley of Shaveh (that is, the King's Valley).

17。アブラムが、ケドルラオメルと彼に味方する王たちを打ち破って戻って来たとき、ソドムの王は、シャベの谷すなわち王の谷まで、彼を迎えに出て来た。

 

18. 살렘 왕 멜기세덱이 떡과 포도주를 가지고 나왔으니 그는 지극히 높으신 하나님의 제사장이었더라

18. Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine. He was priest of God Most High,

18。また、サレムの王メルキゼデクは、パンとぶどう酒を持って来た。彼はいと高き神の祭司であった。

 

19. 그가 아브람에게 축복하여 이르되 천지의 주재이시요 지극히 높으신 하나님이여 아브람에게 복을 주옵소서

19. and he blessed Abram, saying, "Blessed be Abram by God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth.

19。彼はアブラムを祝福して言った。「アブラムに祝福あれ。いと高き神、天と地を造られた方より。

 

20. 너희 대적을 네 손에 붙이신 지극히 높으신 하나님을 찬송할지로다 하매 아브람이 그 얻은 것에서 십분의 일을 멜기세덱에게 주었더라

20. And blessed be God Most High, who delivered your enemies into your hand." Then Abram gave him a tenth of everything.

20。いと高き神に誉れあれ。あなたの敵をあなたの手に渡された方に。」アブラムはすべての物の十分の一を彼に与えた。

 

21. 소돔 왕이 아브람에게 이르되 사람은 내게 보내고 물품은 네가 가지라

21. The king of Sodom said to Abram, "Give me the people and keep the goods for yourself."

21。ソドムの王はアブラムに言った。「人々は私に返し、財産はあなたが取ってください。」

 

22. 아브람이 소돔 왕에게 이르되 천지의 주재이시요 지극히 높으신 하나님 여호와께 내가 손을 들어 맹세하노니

22. But Abram said to the king of Sodom, "I have raised my hand to the LORD, God Most High, Creator of heaven and earth, and have taken an oath

22。アブラムはソドムの王に言った。「私は、いと高き神、天と地を造られた方、主に誓う。

 

23. 네 말이 내가 아브람에게 치부하게 하였다 할까 하여 네게 속한 것은 실 한 오라기나 들메끈 한 가닥도 내가 가지지 아니하리라

23. that I will accept nothing belonging to you, not even a thread or the thong of a sandal, so that you will never be able to say, 'I made Abram rich.'

23。糸一本、履き物のひも一本さえ、私はあなたの所有物から何一つ取らない。それは、『アブラムを富ませたのは、この私だ』とあなたが言わないようにするためだ。

 

24. 오직 젊은이들이 먹은 것과 나와 동행한 아넬과 에스골과 마므레의 분깃을 제할지니 그들이 그 분깃을 가질 것이니라

24. I will accept nothing but what my men have eaten and the share that belongs to the men who went with me--to Aner, Eshcol and Mamre. Let them have their share."

24。ただ、若い者たちが食べた物と、私と一緒に行動した人たちの取り分は別だ。アネルとエシュコルとマムレには、彼らの取り分を取らせるように。」
