1. 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중이 엘림에서 떠나 엘림과 시내 산 사이에 있는 신 광야에 이르니 애굽에서 나온 후 둘째 달 십오일이라
1. The whole Israelite community set out from Elim and came to the Desert of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the second month after they had come out of Egypt.
1。イスラエルの全会衆はエリムから旅立ち、エジプトの地を出て、第二の月の十五日に、エリムとシナイとの間にあるシンの荒野に入った。

2. 이스라엘 자손 온 회중이 그 광야에서 모세와 아론을 원망하여
2. In the desert the whole community grumbled against Moses and Aaron.
2。そのとき、イスラエルの全会衆は、この荒野でモーセとアロンに向かって不平を言った。

3. 이스라엘 자손이 그들에게 이르되 우리가 애굽 땅에서 고기 가마 곁에 앉아 있던 때와 떡을 배불리 먹던 때에 여호와의 손에 죽었더라면 좋았을 것을 너희가 이 광야로 우리를 인도해 내어 이 온 회중이 주려 죽게 하는도다
3. The Israelites said to them, “If only we had died by the LORDs hand in Egypt! There we sat around pots of meat and ate all the food we wanted, but you have brought us out into this desert to starve this entire assembly to death.”
3。イスラエルの子らは彼らに言った。「エジプトの地で、肉鍋のそばに座り、パンを満ち足りるまで食べていたときに、われわれは主の手にかかって死んでいたらよかったのだ。事実、あなたがたは、われわれをこの荒野に導き出し、この集団全体を飢え死にさせようとしている。」

4. 그 때에 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 보라 내가 너희를 위하여 하늘에서 양식을 비 같이 내리리니 백성이 나가서 일용할 것을 날마다 걷루 것이라 이같이 하여 그들이 내 율법을 준행하나 아니하나 내가 시험하리라
4. Then the LORD said to Moses, “I will rain down bread from heaven for you. The people are to go out each day and gather enough for that day. In this way I will test them and see whether they will follow my instructions.
4。主はモーセに言われた。「見よ、わたしはあなたがたのために天からパンを降らせる。民は外に出て行って、毎日、その日の分を集めなければならない。これは、彼らがわたしのおしえに従って歩むかどうかを試みるためである。

5. 여섯째 날에는 그들이 그 거둔 것을 준비할지니 날마다 거두던 것의 갑절이 되리라
5. On the sixth day they are to prepare what they bring in, and that is to be twice as much as they gather on the other days.”
5。六日目に彼らが持ち帰って調えるものは、日ごとに集める分の二倍である。」

6. 모세와 아론이 온 이스라엘 자손에게 이르되 저녁이 되면 너희가 여호와께서 너희를 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 내셨음을 알 것이요
6. So Moses and Aaron said to all the Israelites, “In the evening you will know that it was the LORD who brought you out of Egypt, 
6。それでモーセとアロンは、すべてのイスラエルの子らに言った。「あなたがたは、夕方には、エジプトの地からあなたがたを導き出したのが主であったことを知り、

7. 아침에는 너희가 여호와의 영광을 보리니 이는 여호와께서 너희가 자기를 향하여 원망함을 들으셨음이라 우리가 누구이기에 너희가 우리에게 대하여 원망하느냐
7. and in the morning you will see the glory of the LORD, because he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we, that you should grumble against us?”
7。朝には主の栄光を見る。主に対するあなたがたの不平を主が聞かれたからだ。私たちが何だというので、私たちに不平を言うのか。」

8. 모세가 또 이르되 여호와께서 저녁에는 너희에게 고기를 주어 먹이시고 아침에는 떡으로 배불리시리니 이는 여호와께서 자기를 향하여 너희가 원망하는 그 말을 들으셨음이라 우리가 누구냐 너희의 원망은 우리를 향하여 함이 아니요 여호와를 향하여 함이로다
8. Moses also said, “You will know that it was the LORD when he gives you meat to eat in the evening and all the bread you want in the morning, because he has heard your grumbling against him. Who are we? You are not grumbling against us, but against the LORD.”
8。モーセはまた言った。「主は夕方にはあなたがたに食べる肉を与え、朝には満ち足りるほどパンを与えてくださる。それはあなたがたが主に対してこぼした不平を、主が聞かれたからだ。いったい私たちが何だというのか。あなたがたの不平は、この私たちに対してではなく、主に対してなのだ。」

9. 모세가 또 아론에게 이르되 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중에게 말하기를 여호와께 가까이 나아오라 여호와께서 너희의 원망함을 들으셨느니라 하라
9. Then Moses told Aaron, “Say to the entire Israelite community, ‘Come before the LORD, for he has heard your grumbling.” 
9。モーセはアロンに言った。「イスラエルの全会衆に言いなさい。『主の前に近づきなさい。主があなたがたの不平を聞かれたから』と。」

10. 아론이 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중에게 말하매 그들이 광야를 바라보니 여호와의 영광이 구름 속에 나타나더라
10. While Aaron was speaking to the whole Israelite community, they looked toward the desert, and there was the glory of the LORD appearing in the cloud.
10。アロンがイスラエルの全会衆に告げたとき、彼らが荒野の方を振り向くと、見よ、主の栄光が雲の中に現れた。

11. 여호와께서 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시되 
11. The LORD said to Moses,
11。主はモーセに告げられた。

12. 내가 이스라엘 자손의 원망함을 들었노라 그들에게 말하여 이르기를 너희가 해 질 때에는 고기를 먹고 아침에는 떡으로 배부르리니 내가 여호와 너희의 하나님인 줄 알리라 하라 하시니라
12. “I have heard the grumbling of the Israelites. Tell them. ‘At twilight you will eat meat, and in the morning you will be filled with bread. Then you will know that I am the LORD your God.”
12。「わたしはイスラエルの子らの不平を聞いた。彼らに告げよ。『あなたがたは夕暮れには肉を食べ、朝にはパンで満ち足りる。こうしてあなたがたは、わたしがあなたがたの神、主であることを知る。』」

13. 저녁에는 메추라기가 와서 진에 덮이고 아침에는 이슬이 진 주위에 있더니
13. That evening quail came and covered the camp, and in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp.
13。すると、その夕方、うずらが飛んで来て宿営をおおった。また、朝になると、宿営の周り一面に露が降りた。

14. 그 이슬이 마른 후에 광야 지면에 작고 둥글며 서리 같이 가는 것이 있는지라
14. When the dew was gone, thin flakes like frost on the ground appeared on the desert floor.
14。その一面の露が消えると、見よ、荒野の面には薄く細かいもの、地に降りた霜のような細かいものがあった。

15. 이스라엘 자손이 보고 그것이 무엇인지 알지 못하여 서로 이르되 이것이 무엇이냐 하니 모세가 그들에게 이르되 이는 여호와께서 너희에게 주어 먹게 하신 양식이라
15. When the Israelites saw it, they said to each other, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. Moses said to them, “It is the bread the LORD has given you to eat.
15。イスラエルの子らはこれを見て、「これは何だろう」と言い合った。それが何なのかを知らなかったからであった。モーセは彼らに言った。「これは主があなたがたに食物として下さったパンだ。

16. 여호와께서 이같이 명령하시기를 너희 각 사람은 먹을 만큼만 이것을 거둘지니 곧 너희 사람 수효대로 한 사람에 한 오멜씩 거두되 각 사람이 그의 장막에 있는 자들을 위하여 거둘지니라 하셨느니라
16. This is what the LORD has commanded: ‘Each one is to gather as much as he needs. Take an omer for each person you have in your tent.”
16。主が命じられたことはこうだ。『自分の食べる分に応じて、一人当たり一オメルずつ、それを集めよ。自分の天幕にいる人数に応じて、それを取れ。』」

17. 이스라엘 자손이 그같이 하였더니 그 거둔 것이 많기도 하고 적기도 하나
17. The Israelites did as they were told; some gathered much, some little.
17。そこで、イスラエルの子らはそのとおりにした。ある者はたくさん、ある者は少しだけ集めた。

18. 오멜로 되어 본즉 많이 거둔 자도 남음이 없고 적게 거둔 자도 부족함이 없이 각 사람은 먹을 만큼만 거두었더라
18. And when they measured it by the omer, he who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little. Each one gathered as much as he needed.
18。彼らが、何オメルあるかそれを量ってみると、たくさん集めた人にも余ることはなく、少しだけ集めた人にも足りないことはなかった。自分が食べる分に応じて集めたのである。

19. 모세가 그들에게 이르기를 아무든지 아침까지 그것을 남겨두지 말라 하였으나
19. Then Moses said to them, “No one is to keep any of it until morning.”
19。モーセは彼らに言った。「だれも、それを朝まで残しておいてはならない。」

20. 그들이 모세에게 순종하지 아니하고 더러는 아침까지 두었더니 벌레가 생기고 냄새가 난지라 모세가 그들에게 노하니라
20. However, some of them paid no attention to Moses; they kept part of it until morning, but it was full of maggots and began to smell. So Moses was angry with them.
20。しかし、彼らはモーセの言うことを聞かず、ある者は朝までその一部を残しておいた。すると、それに虫がわき、臭くなった。モーセは彼らに向かって怒った。

21. 무리가 아침마다 각 사람은 먹을 만큼만 거두었고 햇볕이 뜨겁게 쬐면 그것이 스러졌더라
21. Each morning everyone gathered as much as he needed, and when the sun grew hot, it melted away.
21。彼らは朝ごとに、各自が食べる分量を集め、日が高くなると、それは溶けた。

22. 여섯째 날에는 각 사람이 갑절의 식물 곧 하나에 두 오멜씩 거둔지라 회중의 모든 지도자가 와서 모세에게 알리매
22. On the sixth day, they gathered twice as much — two omers for each person — and the leaders of the community came and reported this to Moses.
22。六日目に、彼らは二倍のパンを、一人当たり二オメルずつを集めた。会衆の上に立つ者たちがみなモーセのところに来て、告げると、

23. 모세가 그들에게 이르되 여호와께서 이같이 말씀하셨느니라 내일은 휴일이니 여호와께 거룩한 안식일이라 너희가 구울 것은 굽고 삶을 것은 삶고 그 나머지는 다 너희를 위하여 아침까지 간수하라
23. He said to them, “This is what the LORD commanded: ’Tomorrow is to be a day of rest, a holy Sabbath to the LORD. So bake what you want to bake and boil what you want to boil. Save whatever is left and keep it until morning.”
23。モーセは彼らに言った。「主の語られたことはこうだ。『明日は全き休みの日、主の聖なる安息である。焼きたいものは焼き、煮たいものは煮よ。残ったものはすべて取っておき、朝まで保存せよ。』」

24. 그들이 모세의 명령대로 아침까지 간수하였으나 냄새도 나지 아니하고 벌레도 생기지 아니한지라
24. So they saved it until morning, as Moses commanded, and it did not stink or get maggots in it.
24。モーセの命じたとおりに、彼らはそれを朝まで取っておいた。しかし、それは臭くもならず、そこにうじ虫もわかなかった。

25. 모세가 이르되 오늘은 그것을 먹으라 오늘은 여호와의 안식일인즉 오늘은 너희가 들에서 그것을 얻지 못하리라
25. “Eat it today,” Moses said, “because today is a Sabbath to the LORD. You will not find any of it on the ground today.
25。モーセは言った。「今日は、それを食べなさい。今日は主の安息だから。今日は、それを野で見つけることはできない。

26. 엿새 동안은 너희가 그것을 거두되 일곱째 날은 안식일인즉 그 날에는 없으리라 하였으나
26. Six days you are to gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will not be any.”
26。六日の間、それを集めなさい。しかし七日目の安息には、それはそこにはない。」

27. 일곱째 날에 백성 중 어떤 사람들이 거두려 나갔다가 얻지 못하니라
27. Nevertheless, some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather it, but they found none.
27。七日目になって、民の中のある者たちが集めに出て行った。しかし、何も見つからなかった。

28. 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 어느 때까지 너희가 내 계명과 내 율법을 지키지 아니하려느냐
28. Then the LORD said to Moses, “How long will you refuse to keep my commands and my instructions?
28。主はモーセに言われた。「あなたがたは、いつまでわたしの命令とおしえを拒み、守らないのか。

29. 볼지어다 여호와가 너희에게 안식일을 줌으로 여섯째 날에는 이틀 양식을 너희에게 주는 것이니 너희는 각기 처소에 있고 일곱째 날에는 아무도 그의 처소에서 나오지 말지니라
29. Bear in mind that the LORD has given you the Sabbath; that is why on the sixth day he gives you bread for two days. Everyone is to stay where he is on the seventh day; no one is to go out.”
29。心せよ。主があなたがたに安息を与えたのだ。そのため、六日目には二日分のパンをあなたがたに与えている。七日目には、それぞれ自分のところにとどまれ。だれも自分のところから出てはならない。」

30. 그러므로 백성이 일곱째 날에 안식하니라
30. So the people rested on the seventh day.
30。それで民は七日目に休んだ。

31. 이스라엘 족속이 그 이름을 만나라 하였으며 깟씨 같이 희고 맛은 꿀 섞은 과자 같았더라
31. The people of Israel called the bread manna. It was white like coriander seed and tasted like wafers made with honey.
31。イスラエルの家は、それをマナと名づけた。それはコエンドロの種のようで、白く、その味は蜜を入れた薄焼きパンのようであった。

32. 모세가 이르되 여호와께서 이같이 명령하시기를 이것을 오멜에 채워서 너희의 대대 후손을 위하여 간수하라 이는 내가 너희를 애굽 땅에서 인도하여 낼 때에 광야에서 너희에게 먹인 양식을 그들에게 보이기 위함이니라 하셨다 하고
32. Moses said, “This is what the LORD has commanded: ‘Take an omer of manna and keep it for the generations to come, so they can see the bread I gave you to eat in the desert when I brought you out of Egypt.”
32。モーセは言った。「主が命じられたことはこうだ。『それを一オメル分、あなたがたの子孫のために保存しなさい。わたしがあなたがたをエジプトの地から導き出したときに、荒野であなたがたに食べさせたパンを、彼らがみることができるようにするためである。』」

33. 또 모세가 아론에게 이르되 항아리를 가져다가 그 속에 만나 한 오멜을 담아 여호와 앞에 두어 너희 대대로 간수하라
33. So Moses said to Aaron, “Take a jar and put an omer of manna in it. Then place it before the LORD to be kept for the generations to come.”
33。モーセはアロンに言った。「壺を一つ持って来て、マナを一オメル分その中に入れ、それを主の前に置いて、あなたがたの子孫のために保存しなさい。」

34. 아론이 여호와께서 모세에게 명령하신 대로 그것을 증거판 앞에 두어 간수하게 하였고
34. As the LORD commanded Moses, Aaron put the manna in front of the Testimony, that it might be kept.
34。主がモーセに命じられたとおり、アロンはそれを保存するために、さとしの板の前に置いた。

35. 사람이 사는 땅에 이르기까지 이스라엘 자손이 사십년 동안 만나를 먹었으니 곧 가나안 땅 접경에 이르기까지 그들이 만나를 먹었더라
35. The Israelites ate manna forty years, until they came to a land that was settled; they ate manna until they reached the border of Canaan. 
35。イスラエルの子らは、人が住んでいる土地に来るまで、四十年の間マナを食べた。彼らはカナンの地の境に来るまでマナを食べた。

36. 오멜은 십분의 일 에바이더라
36. (An omer is one tenth of an ephah.)
