1. 이스라엘 자손의 온 회중이 여호와의 명령대로 신 광야에서 떠나 그 노정대로 행하여 르비딤에 장막을 쳤으나 백성이 마실 물이 없는지라
1. The whole Israelite community set out from the Desert of Sin, traveling from place to place as the LORD commanded. They camped at Rephidim, but there was no water for the people to drink.
1。イスラエルの全会衆は、主の命によりシンの荒野を旅立ち、旅を続けてレフィディムに宿営した。しかし、そこには民の飲み水がなかった。

2. 백성이 모세와 다투어 이르되 우리에게 물을 주어 마시게 하라 모세가 그들에게 이르되 너희가 어찌하여 나와 다투느냐 너희가 어찌하여 여호와를 시험하느냐
2. So they quarreled with Moses and said, "Give us water to drink." Moses replied, "Why do you quarrel with me? Why do you put the LORD to the test?"
2。民はモーセと争い、「われわれに飲む水を与えよ」と言った。モーセは彼らに「あなたがたはなぜ私と争うのか。なぜ主を試みるのか」と言った。

3. 거기서 백성이 목이 말라 물을 찾으매 그들이 모세에게 대하여 원망하여 이르되 당신이 어찌하여 우리를 애굽에서 인도해 내어서 우리와 우리 자녀와 우리 가축이 목말라 죽게 하느냐
3. But the people were thirsty for water there, and they grumbled against Moses. They said, "Why did you bring us up out of Egypt to make us and our children and livestock die of thirst?"
3。民はそこで水に渇いた。それで民はモーセに不平を言った。「いったい、なぜ私たちをエジプトから連れ上ったのか。私や子どもたちや家畜を、渇きで死なせるためか。」

4. 모세가 여호와께 부르짖어 이르되 내가 이 백성에게 어떻게 하리이까 그들이 조금 있으면 내게 돌을 던지겠나이다
4. Then Moses cried out to the LORD, "What am I to do with these people? They are almost ready to stone me."
4。そこで、モーセは主に叫んで言った。「私はこの民をどうすればよいのでしょう。今にも、彼らは私を石で打ち殺そうとしています。」

5. 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 백성 앞을 지나서 이스라엘 장로들을 데리고 나일 강을 치던 네 지팡이를 손에 잡고 가라
5. The LORD answered Moses, "Walk on ahead of the people. Take with you some of the elders of Israel and take in your hand the staff with which you struck the Nile, and go.
5。主はモーセに言われた。「民の前に通り、イスラエルの長老たちを何人か連れて、あなたがナイル川を打ったあの杖を手に取り、そして行け。

6. 내가 호렙 산에 있는 그 반석 위 거기서 네 앞에 서리니 너는 그 반석을 치라 그것에서 물이 나오리니 백성이 마시리라 모세가 이스라엘 장로들의 목전에서 그대로 행하니라
6. I will stand there before you by the rock at Horeb. Strike the rock, and water will come out of it for the people to drink." So Moses did this in the sight of the elders of Israel.
6。さあ、わたしはそこ、ホレブの岩の上で、あなたの前に立つ。あなたはその岩を打て。岩から水が出て、民はそれを飲む。」モーセはイスラエルの長老たちの目の前で、そのとおりに行った。

7. 그가 그 곳 이름을 맛사 또는 므리바라 불렀으니 이는 이스라엘 자손이 다투었음이요 또는 그들이 여호와를 시험하여 이르기를 여호와께서 우리 중에 계신가 안 계신가 하였음이더라
7. And he called the place Massah and Meribah because the Israelites quarreled and because they tested the LORD saying, "Is the LORD among us or not?"
7。それで、彼はその場所をマサ、またメリバと名づけた。それは、イスラエルの子らが争ったからであり、また彼らが「主は私たちの中におられるのか、おられないのか」と言って、主を試みたからである。

8. 그 때에 아말렉이 와서 이스라엘과 르비딤에서 싸우니라
8. The Amalekites came and attacked the Israelites at Rephidim.
8。さて、アマレクが来て、レフィディムでイスラエルと戦った。

9. 모세가 여호수와에게 이르되 우리를 위하여 사람들을 택하여 나가서 아말렉과 싸우라 내일 내가 하나님의 지팡이를 손에 잡고 산 꼭대기에 서리라
9. Moses said to Joshua, "Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands."
9。モーセはヨシュアに言った。「男たちを選び、出て行ってアマレクと戦いなさい。私は明日、神の杖を手に持って、丘の頂に立ちます。」

10. 여호수아가 모세의 말대로 행하여 아말렉과 싸우고 모세와 아론과 훌은 산 꼭대기에 올라가서
10. So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill.
10。ヨシュアはモーセが言ったとおりにして、アマレクと戦った。モーセとアロンとフルは丘の頂に登った。

11. 모세가 손을 들면 이스라엘이 이기고 손을 내리면 아말렉이 이기더니
11. As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning.
11。モーセが手を高く上げているときは、イスラエルが優勢になり、手を下ろすとアマレクが優勢になった。

12. 모세의 팔이 피곤하매 그들이 돌을 가져다가 모세의 아래에 놓아 그가 그 위에 앉게 하고 아론과 훌이 한 사람은 이쪽에서, 한 사람은 저쪽에서 모세의 손을 붙들어 올렸더니 그 손이 해가 지도록 내려오지 아니한지라
12. When Moses' hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up--one on one side, one on the other--so that his hands remained steady till sunset.
12。モーセの手が重くなると、彼らは石を取り、それをモーセの足もとに置いた。モーセはその上に腰掛け、アロンとフルは、一人はこちらから、一人はあちらから、モーセの手を支えた。それで彼の両手は日が沈むまで、しっかり上げられていた。

13. 여호수아가 칼날로 아말렉과 그 백성을 쳐서 무찌르니라
13. So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword.
13。ヨシュアは、アマレクとその民を剣の刃で討ち破った。

14. 여호와께서 모세에게 이르시되 이것을 책에 기록하여 기념하게 하고 여호수아의 귀에 외워 들리라 내가 아말렉을 없이하여 천하에서 기억도 못하게 하리라
14. Then the LORD said to Moses, "Write this on a scroll as something to be remembered and make sure that Joshua hears it, because I will completely blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven."
14。主はモーセに言われた。「このことを記録として文書に書き記し、ヨシュアに読んで聞かせよ。わたしはアマレクの記憶を天の下から完全に消し去る。」

15. 모세가 제단을 쌓고 그 이름을 여호와 닛시라 하고
15. Moses built an altar and called it The LORD is my Banner.
15。モーセは祭壇を築き、それをアドナイ・ニシと呼び、

16. 이르되 여호와께서 맹세하시기를 여호와가 아말렉과 더불어 대대로 싸우리라 하셨다 하였더라
16. He said, "For hands were lifted up to the throne of the LORD. The LORD will be at war against the Amalekites from generation to generation."
16。そして言った。「主の御座の上にある手。主は代々にわたりアマレクと戦われる。
